Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Yummy Games collects and uses personal data when you visit the Pawtential Disaster website, contact the studio, or submit a playtest application.

Who controls your data

Yummy Games is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@yummy-games.com.

Data we collect

  • Information submitted through the playtest application, including your email address, country, application answers, optional PC specifications, and optional social media profiles.
  • Information you include when contacting Yummy Games by email.
  • Limited technical information processed by our hosting and security providers, such as IP address, browser information, device information, and request timestamps.

We do not currently use advertising trackers or website analytics on this site.

How we use your data

  • To review and manage playtest applications.
  • To contact selected applicants and organize playtest participation.
  • To respond to questions, press inquiries, and support requests.
  • To operate, protect, and improve the website.
  • To comply with legal obligations and prevent misuse.

Legal bases

We process personal data when it is necessary for our legitimate interests in recruiting and managing playtesters, responding to inquiries, and maintaining a secure website. Where we explicitly ask for consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us.

Services and data sharing

We share data only when needed to operate the website and playtest process:

  • Google provides the playtest application form and response storage.
  • Cloudflare and our website hosting provider process technical data to deliver and secure the site.
  • YouTube provides the embedded trailer using its privacy-enhanced mode.
  • Authorities or professional advisers may receive information when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.

Yummy Games does not sell personal data.

International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside your country or the European Economic Area. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate legal safeguards provided by the relevant service provider.

How long we keep data

Applications that are not selected may be retained for up to 12 months after submission so we can consider applicants for future playtests. Information about selected testers may be kept for the duration of their participation and for up to 12 months afterwards. Communications are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for their purpose or to meet legal requirements.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to request data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise your rights, email info@yummy-games.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Children

If you are below the age at which you can legally consent to data processing in your country, submit a playtest application only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

The site links to services operated by other companies, including Steam, Google, YouTube, and social platforms. Their own privacy policies apply when you use those services.

We may update this policy when the website, playtest process, or legal requirements change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
